Cleaning salmon technique Coho Tyee Trout by admin

How to clean salmon technique that leaves a carrying strap to prevent teeths from sticking your fingers. It is demostrated by Craig Wood aboard the StrikeFighter while salmon fishing out of Moss Laanding California How the self-releasing trout catfish bass bait hook works. Since you aren't breaking off hooks in fish and with the TadPole snagless weights, not breaking off in rocks, you get in more fishing time because you are not down re-rigging so that gives you more time with your bait in the water and you improve your catch. This is especially important when you have kids, as you will not spend all of your time re-rigging them. It is especially a good feeling seeing them swim away. Berkley Power Bait and these hooks and TadPole make one of the most effective trout bait rig there is. Catch and keep, no problem, you get the hook out instantly, and catch and release couldn't be easier. Regarding self-releasing hooks. They are design to release fish without touching them. Basically how they work is the eye of the hook is at the bend of the hook and the leader line goes through a flexible plastic sleeve that goes over leader line and when the sleeve is slid down over the shank of the hook it is set and fish just like a regular fishhook. The sleeve has a second line tied to the top of this and parallels the main leader line and is attach by a sliding 3 turn uniknot tied with thread. When you slid the red knot up by pinching it or using a pocket comb it slides the sleeve up and the hook rotates and self releases.

Wild trout action DelValle Quick out hooks One big fish by admin
Category: Hunting
Wild trout action At DelValle~One big hog~video
Wild Trout fishing today at Lake Del Valle with Bill Gygax. Limits plus one
Really big hog trout with many of the action shots caught on video.
The trout immediately welcome us in the first bay. We were pulled
up on shore and fishing out of the back of the boat. The action was great as we
were done by by 11:15 with limits and no catch and release.
Bill has been busy out of the area working for quite a while and needed a
fishing trip to get him up to speed. A quick trip to Lake Del Valle was just the right
medicine. We were equipped with Shelton Self Releasing hooks and TadPole™
snagless weights and using Berkley's Power bait in a glitter Chartreuse. Talked
to a few folks and most having a hard time with the trout and met a couple of folks
that had caught a couple of stripers. One was fishing with cut pieces of anchovy.
We didn't do any trolling ore go after stripers are catfish. Next time as they are waiting..

N.E.W. FLIES - 110 -- CORNEILLE SAND WORM by admin
Category: Hunting
Polaris Flies video shows Corneille, another great product that Tim developed while in exile during the Hidden Years. This is a cross between a braided cord and iridescent or metallic chenille -- Corneille! As this comes with a wire through it, Corneille doesn't flop around like other products. This is an easy fly with a NEW Fly Tying Material head that can once again be transformed over to a fresh water fly!
Corneille is another craft product that might fade altogether to fly tiers, as just as other products POLARIS FLIES tried to introduce to the industry have been discontinued by the material manufacturers. It does seem that the use of craft materials in fly tying keeps some going through this use. If one notices the eyes many of the smolt and minnow imitations from THE HIDDEN YEARS slide shows, those were braided 2mm glass seed beads. They were perfect for caddis bodies, quick and simple. So much for everyone asking, "Whatja using, craft items?"
