	Hilton Hotel Explosion (before structural damage) by admin Category: Hunting Copyright May 19, 2008 Fourteen people were hurt in an explosion on San Diego's bayfront Hilton Hotel that was currently under construction. Three of them are under medically induced comas due to severe burns and injuries. There were a total of 400 construction crew members on site when this happened. Debris from the blast scattered all the way to the parking lot nearby. Cost of damage has been estimated at 5 million dollars although the building remains stable. Cal-OSHA is now involved in the investigation. The hotel sits on what used to be Campbell's Shipyard, where tuna boats were built back in the day of a booming tuna fishing industry that headed southwards after an ongoing heated debate, by environmentalists, to save the dolphins trapped in fishermens nets. "The "Mihama" is a patrol boat belonging to the Fisheries Agency of Japan. These patrol boats are supposed to monitor Japanese long line tuna fishing fleets to ensure they are not over fishing. When the same Fisheries Agency of Japan tells us that they are killing a thousand whales annually for scientific research, they lose any semblance of credibility. How can we believe that a patrol vessel such as this actually monitors the Japanese fishing fleets? It's like setting out the fox to guard the chickens." BOR goes on to claim that the Veterans Administration has plenty of beds for every homeless veteran. In a discussion with conservative idiot Carrie Lukas and FOX contributor Col. (ret.) David Hunt, BOR claims that homeless vets suffering from addiction "don't want to be rehabbed" and that homeless vets don't need help because "it isn't a matter of owing anybody anything." BOR was clearly upset that Hunt, a reliable ally, repeatedly refuted all of BOR's claims that homeless vets get all the help they need, that the VA provides a bed for every one of them, and that homeless vets have chosen to be homeless addicts. Two weeks after saying that the government is providing plenty of money and resources to help homeless veterans, that homeless vets are in their situation by choice, and that Americans don't owe homeless vets anything, BOR announced that he would support the creation of a new GI bill because the government isn't providing enough money and resources to vets and that we as Americans owe veterans more than they are getting.
