	San Jacinto WA Blind Day Sept. 22 2007 by admin Category: Hunting San Jacinto Wildlife Area in southern California had their blind day today. About 30 of us met at the area to repair blinds and watch all the ducks using the ponds. The video shows the new levee on the north side of the B and C ponds. It also shows the flooding of the new ponds at the Walker and F pond areas. Scott said there were 5,000 ducks using the area, we sure saw a bunch. Cinnamon teal, green wing teal, redheads, spoonies, widgeon, pintails, mallards, gadwalls and about 10 honkers over on Walkers. We saw one snipe too heading for the mud just south of the C ponds. We didn't have the BBQ today due to the rain, most of us went over to the local Mexican restaurant in Perris for lunch. Camcorder was a Canon GL-2. 	Swan Lake NWR MO Deer Oct 8 2003 by admin Category: Hunting Along Yellow Creek in Swan Lake NWR in north MO I found what seemed to be 3 bucks that were brothers. They had the same body size and racks and were always together when they appeared. The looked to be about 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years old. These 3 bucks loved to push each around to test themselves and in this video another buck walks into the fray. Later I tried grunting at some bucks to see what their reaction would be but the grunting sounds more like someone on a porta-potty at the chili cookoff. Cam was a Sony TVR-10 with 2x tele. 	Grunting & Rattling Whitetail Deer MO Bow Season 2007 by admin Category: Hunting This was a bowhunt on our farm on November 8 2007. I rattled and grunted in 3 bucks in 20 minutes. I was looking for one of the 2 big 10 pointers Dad and I had seen the day before in the area. Unfortunately the 10 pointer had a hot doe with him and he was in the timber island behind me about 100 yards away. I couldn't get the 10 pointer to come over to my side of the cornfield and he eventually took the doe and moved her away after all 3 bucks crashed his party. 	Ground Squirrel Shoot Bryson Hesperia Resort Feb 2008 by admin Category: Hunting Ground Squirrel Shoot Bryson Hesperia Resort Feb 2008. Rifle is a Marlin 25MN .22 mag with Leupold 1x4 scope. Homemade shooting sticks. Camcorder is a Canon GL-2 with Century Optics 2x tele lens. Some of the shots are offhand, some from shooting sticks and some off fenceposts. I try and use squeak shooting to simulate all types of shots I may take while coyote or deer hunting, I just don't sit behind a shooting bench with bags for perfect shots every time. I find it fun to just walk down a cow trail and plink, just like when I was a kid. It's a little tougher dragging a camcorder on a tripod also with you but that's what I was doing. It's a lot easier to have someone else do the video so you can concentrate on the shooting. Shooting range was 30 yards to 125 yards.
