what is the best way to hunt them? what is the best gun to shoot them and where do you shoot them? what is the best time of the year to hunt them?

I use a 300win mag and shoot them right in the chest. I would not use this gun if you plan on keeping the hide! It does blow a big hole out the other side, even at three hundred yards plus. We are actually having very good luck with the standard CD boombox and a injured rabbit CD right now in Upstate South Carolina. Around here we have to be decked out in camo and very still. They also try to get downwind of the sounds so we try to set up so they don't have a choice but to come straight up the middle. Good Luck!

if you dont want to look up those sites i might be able to help you hunt them by using calls that do distress sounds but you also need a good location so ask around i use a 243 which is a good gun but i know people that use whatever gun they have but if it is a 22 or a 17 go for a head shot more powerful guns take a chest or shoulder shot the best time of year for me is early fall to mid winter
