Hello, I am heading to Texas next month to hunt wild boar and will be hunting with my CVA 50 Caliber muzzleloader. I normally shoot powerbelts when deer hunting and was wondering what grain bullet you would recommend for my hog hunt. Thanks.

whatever type of bullet you chose, I would pick a high grained bullet. Hog hunting can be dangerous, and it sometimes takes alot to put these big boars down. I'd use at least a 250 grain

My opinion is that you can use the following :

250 grain Barnes Xpander MZ
300 grain Barnes Xpander MZ
300 gr. T/C XTP 50/45
