I am planning to go coyote hunting for the first time and I have never heard exactly what you do with the coyote meat. Do you just throw it out?

I have to say in North Dakota coyots generally have fleas which you dont want and they have mange. But i do quite a bit of coyote hunting and never heard of anyone keeping the meat. I wouldn't eat it.

Actually no. You might be surprised by my answer but many people consider the coyote meat a very delicious one. If you are a courageous person then give it a try. To help you I have the following recipe you might want to try:

2-4 lbs of coyote meat
16 oz of apricot preserves
1 bottle BBQ sauce
1/2 purple onion diced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder

Throw it all in a crock pot and let it cook for 8 hours. If you are going to use this recipe, let us know how it was.
